We reduce the assessment workload in this course through the use of integrated assessments. Each course module consists of two key assessment components:

  1. Theory: quizzes, written questions, case studies, projects, and role plays.
  2. Practical: observations completed by your supervising teacher (school) and your trainer during your practical placement.

Practical Placement

  • You must complete a minimum of 100hrs in an Australian school environment (in a Prep – Yr 12 class or special needs class). These hours may be achieved through current employment or a practical placement. Our flexible course structure means you can complete the practical hours at any point during your course timeframe. Backdated hours (up to 12 months prior to your enrolment date) may be accepted.
  • Adapt can organise a suitable placement for you or you can arrange your own.
  • Additional hours may be required in order to achieve the required performance standards.
  • During your placement you will be providing support to Teachers and students in line with the Teacher Aide job role.
