Overview
- Target audience: Anyone who currently holds the unit HLTAID009 and requires a 12 monthly refresher to maintain the currency.
- Duration: 1/2 day class + approximately 3 hrs of pre course reading and quizes (online).
- Job Skills: CPR.
- Outcome: On successful completion you will be issued a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
Course Details
The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, recommends that CPR skills are renewed every 12 months. If you have completed the unit HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation within the last 12 months are are seeking to renew your certification for another 12 months, you will qualify to enrol into our CPR refresher course.
CPR Course Delivery
- The pre-learning (theory) component of this course is delivered through our online student portal. This takes approximately 3 hrs and must be completed prior to the practical face-to-face session.
- Face-to-Face training and assessment: approximately 3 hrs to complete the practical components of this course.
My Industry Training provides training and assessment for this course. My Industry Training is a business branch of Adapt Education (RTO 32452). Students are enrolling with Adapt Education Pty Ltd trading as My Industry Training.

- Corporate Bookings: schools or workplaces with 10 or more participants may be able to book onsite training at a venue provided by the client. Trainers available in SE QLD and Charters Towers regions. Corporate and school bookings have the option to select a 1 day delviery, where all pre learning and face-to-face training are conducted in 1 day.
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the following Nationally Recognised units of competency.
- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Entry Requirements for First Aid Course
- A driver’s licence, passport or other form of photo-identification
- It is an expectation that you will have access to a computer/tablet/phone and the internet. Please discuss with Adapt if this is an issue as strategies can be put in place to assist.
- It is expected that students have well developed Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills. Students who do not meet the minimum LLN requirements for this course will be provided a range of options and strategies to assist.
- Participants must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation. This involves kneeling on the floor, performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 (two) minutes.
